Action Light Game
And Introducing… Sutton's new Action Light Game :
Sutton Soccers' recently added Action Light Game is all about non-stop soccer action. Generally played with four players a side, the Light Game puts a new twist on your average small-sided game. During a regular game players do not see the benefit of good decisions and simple possession because these actions do not always result in a goal. The Light Game's scoring system rewards players for continually possessing the ball and making good decisions.
For the Light Game, the Sutton floor is transformed into an indoor game area, complete with two sets of small goals on each end of the field. Each goal has two indicator lights that randomly change from goal to goal over the course of the game. It is the players' objective to continually monitor the moving lights, locate their team's active target, and then score on this goal.
The game ultimately relies on split second decision-making skills. Players find that in order to be successful they must continually monitor the lights moving around them. In just minutes of playing the light game, players will repeat vital skills and rapidly begin to ingrain good habits. Players will recognize the success they have when they play with their heads up, make quick decisions, possess the ball, and communicate with their teammates.
The Light Game is an invaluable learning tool for players of any age and skill level. The Light Game allows players to develop quick decision- making skills, just as Sutton's soccer machines help to develop players' technical abilities. Just as it is important to take hundreds of repetitions to perfect a certain skill, it is equally important to take repetitions to perfect decision-making skills.

"Becoming a skillful soccer player does not happen overnight, but comes from a steady progression of improving on ones own current level of skill."
